Sorry, But My Car Was In The Shop
Jadian Bridden
SIN CITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING Episode #789
Date: 11-03-09
Location:

Jadian Bridden thumbs through the contacts on his G1, searching for someone to come pick him up from this hell hole he finds himself trapped in. Sadly, the list of local people he wouldn't mind spending time with is very short. Apparently some bridges couldn't be mended. Those that could had a troll living under them asking for a donation to grant passage.

It wouldn't be bad if the waiting area of the Chrysler dealership he had his rental car towed to didn't stink like cheese and some old woman's perfume. The stench tested the strength of his gag reflex continuously, and he felt it was damn close to nonexistent before he stepped out and felt his shirt cling to his back almost instantly. The weather in south Texas was brutal like that, but it was something Jadian decided he could never get used to.

“Excuse me, sir?”

Jadian diverted his eyes away from the LCD screen of his phone and acknowledged the man with a slightly receding hairline. The salt and pepper gray of his hair made Jadian think about Benito for a moment.

“Mr. Bridden,” he wasn't sure who he was calling, but someone in the room had a car towed in and he was going to need a new alternator.

“Yeah,” Jadian finally answered, after pressing the end button that rid itself of his contact list.

“Mr. Bridden,” the man began. “We took a glance a the vehicle and found out what is wrong with it.”

“Well?”

“Well,” the balding man with a pair of thin framed glasses perched on the bridge of his nose looked up at him slightly. “I went ahead and gave Enterprise a call. They're going to send someone over to pick you up and take you back to their office. The Sebring they rented you is going to need a new alternator, and we don't keep those in stock.”

“This is just great,” Jadian threw his arms up in frustration. “They say how long they were going to take?”

“Their drivers are out picking up other customers, so it could take up to thirty minutes.”

“And what am I supposed to do in the meantime?”

“Don't really know,” Jay could tell the man wanted to say 'don't really give a fuck', and was rather disappointed when he didn't. “You could have a seat in the waiting room and I'll go get you when the driver gets here.”

Jadian's first thought was that this guy was a prick and probably enjoyed putting people in this position a little more than he should be. Still, Jadian sucked it up and headed toward the waiting area that was in the main building. Truth be told, he wasn't sure if his other senses could stand the other waiting area again.

It wasn't that he really cared about the car, because it wasn't like he owned the damn thing, but there was a young woman bound and gagged back at Benito's gym waiting for him to pull up and stuff her in the back. He was going to have to make that call.

Desade hated it when things did not go as planned.
