“Hey boss, I’m here.” A voice says as a figure steps out from the opaque night.
The beefy entity moves toward his boss and the parking lot lights illuminate him even further. He overshadows his employer by a good five inches give or take and is just a little more muscular as well. They both have a similar pale complexion which would make anyone think that they were in some kind of cult where being out in the sun was the number one no-no.
“I was about to consider you a no-show, Anarchy.” Corvus speaks with a slight disgust. He is not a huge fan of anyone who fails to be on time. Call it a pet peeve.
Instead of coming up with an excuse Anarchy remains quiet and lets the boss reprimand him if he so chooses. He could probably level him at any time but his strength is hardly a match compare to Corvus’. The son of a bitch has years on him and it makes him that much more of a threat.
“I’ve been watching them for about a half hour now. Taylor is in the casino and she went up to take a shower which means she’s alone for the moment.” Corvus pauses to take a puff from the black cigarette he has been neglecting. “All you have to do is go inside and distract him long enough for me to take care of business.”
Anarchy nods acknowledging his instructions which are fairly simple and do not require making a scene or leaving a mess behind. He doesn’t have any qualms about breaking a face or two but this time he has to keep a tight lid on his aggression.
“How much time do you need?” Anarchy asks as he rubs the back of his clean shaven head.
After another puff of the clove, Corvus flicks it down onto the pavement to stamp it out. He is on the clock now and if he wants his plan to go smoothly he doesn’t have time for anything else. Not even the idle conversation taking place in front of him.
“Not long but if Taylor tries to ditch you...do whatever it takes. Crotch him if you must I don’t care.”
Anarchy cracks his knuckles in a display of macho bullshit that Corvus finds to be lame but he was a new recruit and had yet to learn his place. He is a good soldier and is loyal to whatever causes Corvus decides to champion and that is the only reason why his antics are put up with.
“Get moving...we don’t have all night.”
Corvus watches Anarchy shuffle off towards the hotel and after he is no longer in his sight he looks upwards at the different windows of the hotel. His first plan was to jump from balcony to balcony but he realizes there are none.
His only other option is to go inside. There is a undeniable risk of doing this because if Taylor happens to spot him on his way to Lindsay’s room it could hinder everything he has set in motion.
Stealth is certainly one of his strong suits so camera’s wouldn’t pick him up if he succeeds in capturing Miss Bongiovi, security would have a hard time proving a case against him because there would not be any evidence to support any claim.
Corvus rubs his hands over his face in preparation for the snatch and grab. Ready as ever he proceeds to the hotel and walks inside casually and staying as low key as he can.
He had just performed in front of a large crowd at the hotel a few short hours ago so people would definitely know him and not hesitate to stop him to ask for an autograph or simply just pester him because he was a recognizable personality.
The trek to the elevators is undisturbed and he pushes the button to go up several times impatiently waiting for a car to come down to take him to his prey.
The thought of his devious deeds gives him a rush; the pleasure it gives him is greater then any other sensation in the world. Drugs, alcohol, sex...none of them do anything for him. It is causing mental and physical harm that gets him off if such a thing is possible.
Corvus listens carefully for the running water of the shower turn off inside the room from the other side of the door. He knocks in a similar way that Scott Taylor would to give Lindsay the impression that he is already back from playing in the casino.
“Hold on a minute Scott!” Lindsay calls out as she slips a towel over her wet form. She quickly grabs another towel and starts to dry her hair while moving towards the door.
She turns the knob and is about to give Scott a hard time but it isn’t him standing in front of her. Before she can attempt to let out a scream, Corvus fast places a hand over her mouth and pushes her into the room; he uses his foot to close the door behind them.
Lindsay frantically squirms to try to free herself from his tight grip but he is much too strong for her. Corvus grins in a very sick manner as he presses his forehead against hers.
“We’re going on a little trip you and I.” He whispers into her ear. “I’d pack up your things for you but we’ve got a little time issue to adhere to.”
Corvus spins her around so that her back is to him and he keeps his hand over her mouth to keep preventing her from screaming and alerting anyone to the situation.
Anarchy jiggles the handle of the door and somehow opens it to gain entry into the room. He sees Corvus with Lindsay and he knows that the plan is nearly complete but the expression on his face doesn’t sit well with Corvus.
“What are you doing here?” Corvus raises his voice several octaves obviously showing that he’s extremely pissed off at seeing Anarchy. “I told you specifically to keep Taylor away from this room.”
“I did everything I could but he just gave me the slip. He’s probably on his way up here now I don’t know but you have got to get out of here and fast.”
Corvus nods as both he and Anarchy suddenly look towards the door. Taylor is knocking and calling for Lindsay to let him in but she isn’t responding.
The attorney once again tries to escape the vampire’s grip but he only uses more of his strength to keep her secure within his arms. Anarchy cracks his knuckles and starts to make his way towards the door and looks back to Corvus.
“I’ll take care of him. Get her out of here and I’ll call you later for further instructions boss.”
Corvus grins as he turns towards the window and backs up a few steps before sprinting towards it and rushing headlong into the glass, shattering it into millions of pieces as he sails out into the night.
Lindsay passes out as she and Corvus drop hundreds of feet but instead of them perishing he lands like a bird onto the concrete. He adjusts her in his arms so that he can carry her now that she is no longer a threat to scream.
He quickly walks to his car and opens the trunk and tosses her inside before closing the lid tight. It might be more humane for him to put her in the back seat but if she just happens to wake up during the drive back to where he is going to keep her she may try to cause an accident and he cannot have that.
As he pulls away from the hotel he smiles once more to the success of his plan to steal Scott Taylor’s precious lawyer away from him.
“This is only the beginning Scotty boy and the best part of it is that you have no fucking clue as to what you are dealing with.”
Lindsay begins to flutter her eyes open and realizes that she really is no longer at the hotel. A horrible nightmare has become reality as her vision becomes clearer to which she can see she is in some type of viewing room.
A large glass window is a few feet from her off to the right side. It could possibly be an interrogation room or even a surgical room. That is beside the point now because she knows she is being watched. She can feel it.
She tries to move but she is limited. Her hands and feet are chained to a very heavy metal bed frame still clothed in the towel she wrapped herself in after getting out of the shower.
Many things float through her mind as to why this is happening. She had trusted the fact that Eryc Morgan was such a good guy but the truth has now given her the reason to believe otherwise.
“I know you are here so show yourself.” Lindsay calls out. “What do you want with me?”
She is treated to silence. All she is accompanied by is the creepiness of being alone in a room that has barren walls and the only thing in it besides her is the bed she is laying on. It reminds her too much of those horror movies that are shown on late night television after most people go to sleep.
“Come on! I know you are here so tell me why you’ve brought me here!” Lindsay’s voice fills with anger; she refuses to be scared until there is reason for her to be. The last thing that she will allow is for herself to become a victim.
“You are here because I want you to be here.” The sound of Corvus’ voice echoes through a speaker system inside the room. He could be anywhere in the building which gives Lindsay little hope that she will face her captor.
“I have plans for you and for the time being you are not allowed to be in the loop.”
Lindsay is having a hard time understanding the reason why he’s taken her in the first place but it has to revolve around something to do with Scott. Eryc Morgan or Corvus as he is referring to himself now attempted to take her a week ago but was unsuccessful. Two times is the charm as it seems.
“Whatever you want I’ll be happy to give it to you within reason.” Negotiating is one of her strong suits so she may as well deploy them if they are any help to her. “I’ll see to it that you have all that you desire.”
Chills run down Lindsay’s spine as her captor laughs at her in a deranged tone.
“I have everything I want which should tell you that there is little you can offer me but perhaps we can work out some type of agreement in due time.”
Lindsay tries to slip her wrists through the handcuffs but she only hurts herself in the attempt. She doesn’t want to be locked up with some crazy bastard using her as bait but what other choice does she have?
“We can work out a deal. Just tell me what it will take for you to let me go?” Miss Bongiovi sighs as she gives up on getting out of the restraints. The fear of him doing something harmful to her grows like a weed in her mind.
“I hold all the chips here so your lawyer mentality as it comes to striking a bargain has little effect on me. We will do things my way and no other way so get used to it.” Signs of Corvus’ agitation are present in his voice. He is in control and he’ll be damned if she is going to try to persuade him into doing anything other then what he wants.
Corvus is finished with Lindsay for now. He has an idea for what he is going to do next but it will require a digital video camera or recorder. However, he doesn’t have one in his possession at the moment.
“You stay put while I go out and get some supplies. Obviously you are going to need food and I can’t afford to have you die on me before my plans are completed.”
Lindsay rattles the restraints to try and break them to no avail. She begins to scream for him to not leave her there alone but she can tell he is already gone.
“I just want to go home damn it...” She whispers to herself, “damn you Scott for getting me into this.”
Corvus stands beside the bed that he has Lindsay secured to. He taps her on the cheek a few times to get her out of the slumber that she was in.
A table has been set up not far from the bed with the video camera that Corvus left the last time to purchase. In his hands is a small bag of fast food he has brought for her to make sure that she doesn’t starve to death.
“I’m going to free one of your arms but if you try to escape I’ll not do it again and you’ll be force fed.”
Corvus retrieves the key for the restraints from his pocket and undoes the shackle on the left side in which Lindsay reaches to her other hand to rub the soreness out.
He tosses the bag of food onto her lap and moves over to a chair not far from the bed to make sure she doesn’t have any ideas of escaping. It’s not like she can but she may try and that is enough for him to play defense.
After a small glance at the bag, Lindsay opens it and removes some of the contents. She looks over the food to see if it looks tampered with but everything appears to be fine; she takes the sandwich out from its wrapper and slowly takes a bite of it before tearing into it like she’s never had a meal before.
Corvus is amused watching her grub down on the food. Mortals obsess over things like food or money unlike his kind. They have the power to take what they want when they want it without having to answer to anyone.
Lindsay finishes her meal and puts everything back into the bag. Corvus grabs the trash and tosses it aside and quickly grabs her arm to put it back into the restraints.
When he’s finished he walks over to the table where the camera is sitting and turns it on and steps in front of the lens. The view catches him and the entire bed with his guest on it chained up which is exactly what he is aiming for.
“Good evening Scott. I bet by now you are pulling your hair out trying to find out where your dear girl Lindsay is.” Corvus smirks as he turns his head towards the bed. “Fear not she is being well taken care of.”
Lindsay sees that he is video taping and begins to yell out.
“Scott please help me, he has me locked up somewhere against my will!”
Corvus shakes his head and walks out of the view of the camera only to return a few moments later with some tape. He pulls off a good chunk of it and then applies it to her mouth. He tears the end off the roll and throws it out of sight.
“Sorry about that but I just can’t allow you to shoot your mouth off while I’m making this excellent documentary for Scotty poo.” Corvus chuckles as he sits down beside her and turns back to the camera.
“Pretty soon you and I will come face to face whether it is on the street, or in a ring, or if stranger things happen...on another planet and when we do you are going to have to make a choice.”
Corvus’ hands start to run along the soft skin of Lindsay’s leg and she wriggles in an attempt to get away from him.
“If you want this pretty little thing back then you are going to have prove to me you really want her and if you don’t...” Corvus pauses before he runs his hand further up her leg. “She just may end up being mine for good.”
The devious smirk stays on his face as he slips the hand further up and slips it under the towel. Lindsay protests only for a few moments before it seems like she begins breathing heavily through her nose no longer fighting.
“Think about it long and hard Scotty because once she’s been with a champion like me...she’ll never look at a guy like you twice.”
Corvus stands up and walks over to the camera and turns it off. He takes the tape out and places it back into the case before instantly putting it into a padded envelope that is already addressed to Scott Taylor.
He turns to Lindsay who is lightly quivering from the encounter and he seals the envelope.
“I need to send this along and then visit one of my other guests but don’t worry...I will be back and maybe you’ll enjoy some more of my wonderful hospitality.”
Corvus winks in her direction before he walks to the door and exits the room. This is just a small taste of what he will do to her if Scott Taylor doesn’t go along with what he wants. He’s not against taking advantage of the girl.
Lindsay closes her eyes hoping and praying that Scott will come to her rescue even if the odds of him being able to defeat a man as strong as Corvus are slight.
